Kansas City is famous for its diehard Kansas City Chiefs football fans, a great jazz scene, and fabulous barbecue. Visitors and residents alike flock to the Spanish-inspired Country Club Plaza to shop and people watch, and to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art (you’ll know you’re there when you see the huge upside-down badminton birdie).
Olsson opened its first Kansas City in 1998, and has been growing steadily ever since with projects such as the T-Bones Stadium, The Legends, Deer Creek Woods, and National Golf Club. The firm has two metro area offices—in Overland Park, Kansas, and Riverside, Missouri. We also have a new office in Manhattan, Kansas, and an office in Springfield, Missouri.
Recent, award-willing Olsson projects in Kansas City include the overpass at 127th Street and Interstate 35 in Olathe and the roundabout at 110th and Lamar in Overland Park.
The KC Olsson team recently landed the “Sunflower Redevelopment Project,” which will create a new community over a 9,000-acre site that was recently decommissioned by the United States Army.
