Here’s everything you need to know about getting an internship with us.
1. How many interns does the company usually hire?
We usually have 50 or so interns during the school year, and closer to 100 interns during the summer months.
2. Does every Olsson Associates office hire interns?
Yes.
3. What kinds of jobs are interns hired to do?
It depends on what team hires you, but most of our technical interns can expect to do drafting, plan production, and some design field work.
4. What teams hire interns?

5. Are there any requirements to become a student intern? Does it matter what year I’m in or what my grade point average is?
We typically hire freshman through juniors, but there are no rules regarding what year of college you should be in or a mandatory grade point average to be hired as an intern.
6. How many hours a week will I be expected to work?
Most of our interns work 15-20 hours a week during the school year, and full time in the summer.
7. What kind of training opportunities will I have as an intern?
As an intern, you’re eligible for all our in-house training and brown bag lunches. You’ll also work hand-in-hand with professional engineers, engineers-in-training, and other students.
8. Does Olsson Associates have any kind of mentoring program for interns?
All of our interns are matched with an Olsson Associates’ sponsor. But we think you’ll find any of your co-workers will be more than willing to help you learn and to serve as a mentor.
